In 1951, the Luria Brothers brought contemporary style to Northern Virginia with their first tract project — Holmes Run Acres. Modeled after the west coast's California Ranch, these were truly unique homes. Use the links below to find out more about the early days of our neighborhood.

The Holmes Runner is the voice of the Holmes Run Community. Sponsored by the Holmes Run Acres Civic Association, The Runner has been written, printed, and distributed regularly since 1952.
