We believe that every listserv should start with a clear set of rules and 'netiquette' for what will – and what won’t – be allowed on the list. By taking this step first, we hope to avoid misunderstandings down the road. Please take a minute now to acquaint yourself with these important guidelines.

By joining and using this email list, you agree that you have read and will adhere to the rules established below.  We reserve the right to terminate access to any participant on this list who does not abide by these guidelines.

  • This listserv is limited to HRA news and information. Posts regarding non-HRA items will be removed.
  • Keep in mind that the suggestions and comments of your neighbors – whether good or bad – are opinions resulting from their experience. Your experience may not be the same as theirs.
  • Let’s keep our neighborhood friendly.  Please do not post any material that is embarrassing, defamatory, or could foreseeably cause distress and discomfort to any individual or group.
  • The listserv has to stay legal. Do not post material that infringes on any person or entity’s copyright or other intellectual property; to be safe, assume that all material is copyrighted unless the author has explicitly stated that the material is in the public domain.
  • In most cases, any personal comment you have to someone’s post should be sent to that person only. Please avoid hitting the “reply all” button, as this will send your private message to the list as well as the individual.

The Holmes Run Acres Civic Association cannot take any responsibility for the opinions and information posted on this site. By subscribing to the HRA listserv, the user agrees to release, hold harmless, indemnify, and defend the Holmes Run Acres Civic Association and its Board of Directors, as well as volunteers acting on its behalf, from any and all legal or civil actions and penalties arising from messages the user has posted on the HRA listserv.

The Holmes Run Acres Civic Association Board does not actively monitor the site for inappropriate postings and does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, in the event that any inappropriate posting is brought to their attention, the HRA Board will take all appropriate action.

If you have trouble subscribing or have questions about the list itself, send an email to Mary David, HRA Listserv Manager.
